Technical Consultant 1
Description:
This position concentrates on providing a consistent general-purpose technical resource to the clients.
A Technical Consultant 1 possess good interpersonal, organization and time-management skills and is able to:
- Install Network Printers and Print Servers.
Install third party Software on Workstations and Servers.
Install Anti-Virus Software on Server and Workstations.
Un-Box and prepare a new computer for install at a customer site.
Add workstations to a Windows Domain.
Create, Change and Delete Users from Active Directory.
Add users to security group is active directory.
Format and Reinstall Workstation operating systems.
Identify when a computer has a virus or is infected with Internet born Spyware.
Move Business Documents, Favorites, Desktop Icons, My Documents, My Music, My Pictures from an old workstation to a new workstation.
Map Network Drives and Printers.
Configure Outlook properties for an MS Exchange Server, POP3 or IMAP.
Read and understand technical verbiage and reference manuals and use the manuals and internet searches on a regular
basis to solve problems.
Identify when they are having trouble solving a problem and need to ask for assistance.
A Technical Consultant 1 will have 0 to 4 years experience maintaining MS Server 2000, MS Server 2003, Windows 2000 Pro, Windows XP Pro, and Windows Vista Business with 0 to 2 years experience working in a consulting environment.

- To generate repeat business from successful engagements.
- To increase revenue from add-on business at current clients.
- To increase satisfaction level of clients.
- To possess specialized skills to help win key projects.
