Software Architect
Description:
This position concentrates on providing a consistent general purpose
technical resource to the clients. A Software Architect is able to:
- Write and document complex interactive and batch programs.
- Write medium to difficult detail design specifications from a requirement document.
- Perform unit testing and write unit test scripts.
- Perform system testing and write system test scripts.
- Able to identify and document errors during testing.
- Ability to delegate work to staff.
- Read and understand technical reference manuals.
- Possess good interpersonal, organization and time-management skills.
A Software Architect will have 4 to 10 years experience developing and
maintaining business applications with 3 to 6 years experience working
in a consulting environment.
Purpose:
- To generate repeat business from successful engagements.
- To increase revenue from add-on business at current clients.
- To increase satisfaction level of clients.
- To possess specialized skills to help win key projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist sales department with proposals in new projects and generation of additional business.
- Provide clients with high-level skills.
- Develop accounts through recognition of potential new business.
- Meet management goals.
- Estimate project costs.
- Break into new accounts.
- Manage medium to difficult projects.
- Excellent business writing skills.
- Provide proposal input.
- Function as a designer.
- Act as a team leader.
- Serve as a mentor to others.
- Basic business knowledge.
- Understand methodology.
- Possess excellent organization and time management skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Able to code from detail design specifications.
- Unit and system test and debug programs.
